Simran Director Hansal Mehta Opens Up On His Fallout With Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut has again found herself in a fine pickle. Earlier it was Manikarnika’s original director Krish who blasted Kangana claiming that she took over the project and took credit for directing the film where “she didn’t deserve it”. Now, Hansal Mehta, the director of Simran, who was caught in a similar controversy with Kangana back in 2017, has spoken out.

The filmmaker had earlier been silent about Kangana’s and writer Apurva Asrani’s beef over the writing credits in Simran.

Hansa described his past two years as traumatic, in a long Twitter post. He even called ‘Simran’ a painful chapter of his life.

He wrote, “The past two years have been difficult, very difficult. They have impacted me financially, mentally, and physically. I am dealing with my losses in the most constructive manner possible and in the only way I know – by moving on.”

Hansal Mehta reportedly has had several creative conflicts with Kangana during the making of Simran and as a result, he had to fly back to India from the US, mid-shoot.
