They say breakfast like a king, and so, breakfast should, undoubtedly,be the healthiest and largest meal of the day. We grew up eating traditional stuff for breakfast like, poha, upma, idli, daliya, sandwiches or cornflakes. Many households prefer gorging on parathas for breakfast. But, in today fast-paced life, many working women find it difficult to prepare breakfast for entire family every morning. Thank god for the new-age, quick-serving breakfast items!
Oats have been around in the market from quite some time now. They are tasty, healthy and quick to make. I have been using quacker oats from quite some time now and very recently I thought of trying saffola Oats.
I got a pack of 1 kg oats along with my monthly grocery stuff. The bright yellow packaging of Saffola oats is quite striking. The packet has lot of information on oats and benefits of eating it. What’s more, the packet comes with small recipe book!
Saffola oat flakes are bigger in size. They also cook faster. Saffola claims these oats keep you healthy and provide you with balanced energy. Also, you feel fuller for a long time, so that you don’t gorge on junk food, prior to lunch!
What I found interesting was that the pack had a “dial a dietitian number”, which I thought is a unique way interact with end-users and make them feel wanted and important.
You can try many dishes with oats. My fav preparations are these:
(1) Serve oats with fruits, honey and milk
(2) Use jaggery and milk so that the dish tastes like kheer
(3) Oats upma is an all-time favourite
(4) Oats Pongal
(5) Oats Dosa
(1) A very healthy breakfast option
(2) Flakes are bigger in size
(3) Good packaging
(4) Brand is trying to be interactive with users
You like creamy texture to oats, then it’s little difficult to get use
to this product.
