Review: Asus Zenfone Max

Today, we’ve got our hands on the newly launched Asus Zenfone Max which starts at Rs.9,999 and upwards.

Backed by Android M 6.0.1, this phone looks sleek, simple and stylish with an extremely thin body – only 5.2 mm at its thinnest edge. It’s has a 5.5 inch HD screen. Apart from black, the phone is also available in blue and orange colors.

The Asus Zenfone Max boasts of several amazing things but two things that take the centre stage for us are the enhanced and superior performance and the amazing battery life.asus power image

The phone is super responsive and us a complete lag free experience thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core processor with a 3GB RAM.It also allowed us to multitask with ease.

Coming to the battery, the Asus Zenfone Max has a 5000mAh battery with a standby time of 914.4 hours and 37.5 hours of talk time from the time it’s fully charged. While we haven’t used the phone for as long yet, we’re certainly excited because these features are quite impressive. But one thing that does stand out is that the accompanying OTg cable can turn the phone into a charger to power up other gadgets. Now that is one unique and seriously useful feature.

With a 13 megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel front camera, this phone is fantastic for those who love to click on the go. With laser autofocus technology, the phone helped us focus on objects super quick!

It seems that the phone has been made keeping today’s user in mind with several features catering to the way we use phones today. The phone has a ‘Bluelight Filter For Eye Care that protects the users’ eyes from strain even with prolonged usage.

The internal memory is 32 GB and expandable up to 64 GB. The phone also has 5 battery modes and two smart switches that enable users to optimize battery. We’re always on the go with lots of work happening via our phones and these features really ease up the use.
