While the whole country is mourning for the CRPF soldiers martyred in the Pulwama terror attack, and also those who were martyred in the aftermath of the attack, there are people who are taking some action and doing their bit to help the families of the soldiers.
In a heartwarming gesture, the DM of Bihar’s Sheikhpura district adopted the daughters of two CRPF jawaans who lost their lives in the recent terror attack. As per a report by Indian Express, Inayat Khan, a Bihar cadre IAS officer, announced that she will adopt two girls, one daughter each of CRPF personnel Ratan Kumar Thakur and Sanjay Kunar Sinha.
As per Khan, she will bear the cost of the girls’ education besides taking care of other expenses through out their lives.
Moreover, she has pledged to donate her 2 days salary to the families of the two martyrs and requested all the government staff of her district to do the same. She said,
“I have requested all government staff of my district to donate their one day’s salary to the families of the two martyrs”
A bank account has also been opened in Sheikhpura for people to donate to the families of the martyred CRPF troopers.
On Saturday, Khan, along with the staff, paid tributes to 49 CRPF troopers killed in the Pulwama terror attack, by observing a minute’s silence.
If you wish to donate to the families of the martyred soldiers, you can do so here.
