Wednesday Recipe: Mac ‘n’ cheese

I remember the first time I had Mac n Cheese at my friend’s house. I can’t forget the taste of gooey and creamy Macaroni and melting cheese in my mouth. Since then I am fascinated with this recipe. Make your Wednesday exciting with this delicious and easy to cook Mac ‘n’ cheese which I have tried,tested and penned down especially for you.Mac n Cheese


  1. 350 gm pasta
  2. 200gm broccoli florets
  3. 350gm cauliflower florets
  4. 1 cup green peas,3 cups cheddar cheese
  5. 225 gm cream cheese,2 tbsp butter
  6. ½ tbsp mustard powder,½ tbsp freshly grated nutmeg
  7. A pinch of red chili powder
  8. 3 cups milk
  9. Salt and pepper to taste.


Boil the pasta till it cooked, drain well and keep aside; boil the vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and green peas).

Meanwhile, in a blender add 2 cups cheddar cheese, cream cheese, butter, mustard powder, grated nutmeg, red chili powder, and salt until all are well blended. Add milk ; puree until smooth. Add veggies and remaining milk, stir well. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
Bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until just bubbling.

Preparation time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves: 6

Serve immediately!
