Guess what’s the latest buzz word among vegans on the internet? Kale! Right from Master chefs, to food bloggers, to someone who is all for healthy food, almost everyone is raving about Kale. We thought why not figure out  what’s so special about this one and if do we get this in India.

Kale is a vegetable which belongs to the Brassica family which also includes other vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and collard greens. Kale has suddenly captured the spotlight because of its nutritional value.

Kale salad with sunflower seeds and sliced almonds, chicken with kale and freekeh-lentin pilaf and many more. Kale can be prepared in variety of ways. It can be used in soups and stews. It can also be sautéed, tossed or can be simply had with a smoothie.

It contains vitamin K and omega-3 which have anti-inflammatory health benefits and also helps in the body’s detoxification process. It fibres help maintain a healthy digestive system with its fibers.
