Next up in our Interview series we have Manisha Chopra. She is a Co-Founder-Director at SeaSoul Cosmeceuticals. She has been a pioneer in high-definition make-up in Australia for over a decade. She was a very sought-after make-up artist for fashion models and traditional Indian brides alike. She returned to India to make waves in the Indian wellness industry. Here’s her story.

1)First thing first, tell us a little bit about your background?
SeaSoul Cosmeceuticals is a company specialising in manufacture and distribution of miraculous spa and skincare products. Each product offered by the company is inspired by the therapeutic properties of the unique salts, mud and minerals of the Dead Sea. 2)What brings SeaSoul in India?
SeaSoul Cosmeceuticals came to India driven by our (the founders’) belief in the potential of the market. There is a growing awareness amongst Indians about beauty and wellness and the need to maintain physical and mental harmony for a better quality of life. We also believed that Indian, home-grown beauty products and techniques can create a robust name in global spheres. We were committed to spreading awareness about how the mud, minerals and salt from the magical waters of the Dead Sea could cure and enhance one’s skin, body and spirit. All this brought SeaSoul to India.seasoul

3)Where do you get your inspiration?
Our own invigorating experience with the magical Dead Sea is our constant inspiration. After encountering the therapeutic waters of this miraculous sea, we were convinced that we need to help others discover the myriad benefits of its healing minerals. We blended the concepts of “Power of Touch” and “Spa Experiences” to bring out a range of items that ensure holistic well-being of the mind, body and spirit.

4)How are SeaSoul products different from other natural products brands available in India?
As mentioned earlier, SeaSoul products offer the unique benefits of the healing salts of the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea contains 26 essential minerals, and twelve of these do not exist in any other sea or ocean in the world. Some of them have unique qualities such as the ability to provide relaxation, nourishment, activation of blood systems, healing rheumatic diseases and metabolic disorders. In addition, the natural minerals are essential for correct functioning of the human body and the different skin layers. SeaSoul is one of the few companies that amalgamate the best of these properties with other natural ingredients to offer superior products that are effective and therapeutic in equal measure.

4)Price range of the products?
Rs 375 onwards

5)Which is the most recommended product from SeaSoul and why?
The world’s first anti-tan candle scrub is definitely one of the most highly recommended products from SeaSoul. The path-breaking product offers a rejuvenating spa experience while effectively removing tan and revealing a clarified complexion. Available in variants of Coco Bliss, Sweet Passion and Zesty Temptation, each product works wonders through gentle exfoliation of the skin by infusing essential Dead Sea Minerals.

Using the innovative anti-tan candle scrub is extremely convenient. The candle wick has to be trimmed to 6mm before each usage. Light the candle at least a few minutes prior to the massage, allowing it to liquefy to the sides of the jar. Extinguish the flame and pour the warm oil onto the skin. Using a spatula, scoop out some warm scrub and apply on the skin and massage gently. Follow this up with a warm bath and experience a mellow lushness like never before.
