In Video: Kangana Ranaut Slammed Bollywood For Ganging Up On Her

Kangana Ranaut is one actress who is known to speak her mind out without any inhibitions. Her bold and fearless attitude lets her raise her voice against issues like nepotism, harassment without any fear. The 31 year old actress and filmmaker has called out people for various reasons in the past. But this time, Kangana went on to call out the entire Bollywood fraternity and promised to expose them for ganging up against her.

The actress who has been basking in the success of her movie ‘Manikarnika’ and interacted with media at an event. She spoke up on how Bollywood never supported her and her movies. Kangana was even asked about this trend of Bollywood celebrities promoting each other’s movies on social media. She was even questioned whether she expected the same kind of response from her contemporaries and others for her recently released movie ‘Manikarnika’. Kangana was quick to respond, saying,

“For me, what will be the benefit if they promote me. I have already won 4 national awards at the age of 31, I am a filmmaker… how will they promote me… But my question is, Is Rani of Jhansi my chachi? She is as much as yours as she is mine… Why are these people so scared or hesitant!? Just because I spoke about Nepotism and they are are all shaken up due to that. They have all ganged up against me and are wondering why I spoke about nepotism.”

She further commented on Bollywood being silent on her film, slamming the Bollywood,

“These people should be ashamed of themselves. Some of them are my grandfather’s age. And these Bollywood, I used to call out them for small things like nepotism, sexism and pay parity but, now I will get after their lives. I’ll expose each and every one of them. Bollywood has called for trouble by ganging up on me.”

Kangana’s movie has been surrounded by controversies even before it’s release. Krish, who was direction the movie, left the project halfway through, actor Sonu Sood also left the movie over a tussle with Kangana. Then, Mishti Chakravaety, who was also a part of the movie, slammed the actress for scrapping off others’ roles in the movie.

However, the movie is performing well on box office and receiving positive reviews from audiences and critics alike.
