Parineeti Chopra used to weight 86 Kg when she entered Bollywood. Her debut film was under the Yash Chopra banner and which became a super hit. Obviously, her acting was recognised but she didn’t receive any exciting movie offers. Why?? Her excessive weight came out as the biggest hurdle in her Bollywood journey.

What is her health philosophy?
Even Parineeti was also aware of this fact and she acknowledged it by saying, “I am a 25-year-old and there is no reason for me to look fat. I want to look great. I am taking care of myself and I am losing, even more, weight because I want to look better.”
There have been overweight actresses in Bollywood like Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi, Vidya Balan etc. but all of them have been comfortable in their skin. But Parineeti Chopra has always been uncomfortable in her baggy appearance.
Parineeti’s Weight Loss Confession?
Parineeti was extremely confused and irritated of the fact that she couldn’t wear crop tops or sleeveless dresses because of her weight issues. She even went on record and said that,
“Those actresses are comfortable in what they look like. I used to feel uncomfortable. I am in a visual medium and should be able to compete with every good-looking actress”.
As per the rumours, Parineeti Chopra went to Austria to attend a detox program. Under this program, several tests are conducted to find out what all exercise a person’s body can tolerate. And then they come out with a diet plan and an exercise regimen for the person. It was an intensive 6-month weight loss program which Parineeti attended and shed out all those extra flab.
Post her revamped avatar her confidence oozed up like anything. Recently she graced the magazine cover of a leading lifestyle and fashion magazine.
Right now her exercise regimen consists of –
She makes it a point to jog every morning for at least 45 minutes – 1 hour. She believes that jogging helps her to stay activated throughout the day. Jogging is also as a warming up activity for the intensive exercises ahead.
Running on Treadmill:
She makes it a point to run on the treadmill for 45 minutes every day. She believes that if regularly done, running on treadmill energises and activates the entire body and it helps to get rid of flabs all over your body.
Some Super Killer Dance Moves:
This depends on her mood and time. Days when she has 1-2 free hours, she indulges in dance. She likes to dance on fast dance number to shed extra weight.
She believes that meditation helps her to calm her mind and thus she makes it a point to end her day with 15-20 minutes of meditation.
She is also a huge fan of Kalaripayattu (A martial dance form in Kerela) and horse riding. She believes that both these activities help in reduction of body fat in a very less time.
Parineeti Chopra’s Diet
Parineeti has a tendency to gain weight. And to control her cravings is one of the biggest struggles she faces every day. But during those journey from “Fat to Fit, ” she has transformed herself greatly and this is her diet chart which she follows at present –
Parineeti has kept several options in breakfast so that she doesn’t get bored of it. She likes having a glass of milk with brown bread and butter. Some days she also has two eggs (white portion only) along with a glass of fruit juice.
She mostly has Daal and Roti. Days when she crave for rice, she has brown rice with lots of green leafy vegetables.
Brown rice with vegetables. She makes sure that her dinner should have little to no touch of alcohol. On some days she has chocolate shake as deserts.
Parineeti has been a source of inspiration for millions of girls out there. She has accepted that weight loss is a real issue and you should deal with it rather than finding ways to cover your extra flab. After all she is a part of a visual medium and looking good i a person is much more important than looking good on screen.
