How to cheat and not get caught? Stop right there, I’m not talking about that cheating. This is the pain we inflict upon ourselves after careful endurance bringing us back to square one. Long hours at the gym and watching what you eat can all tumble down if we slip back into old pattens.

I’ve been diligently gymming and trying to keep a check on what I eat, action word being trying. But we all have our cheat days, fat days; as do I. Losing weight is, if nothing, a test of how far you can abstain from ‘’all thing tasty.’’

So I decided to try something which may not be completely fatal to my diet regime. I tried Protein Bars and here’s what I thought..

Max protein: Energy packed Protein Bar

I. Choco fudge : Caramelised oatmeals gives it a good flavour, although there’s chocolate in it so it’s not completely dietary but it does have its health benefits. It’s definitely a wholesome meal. It’s high on protein content so this way you can eat it at night and not worry about “carbs.’’ It can definitely can be eaten after a workout because it’s a complete meal with nuts and flavour alike.

Price: Rs. 90/-

Goodness of cocoa with dry fruits gives it a good flavour. It’s not completely dietary but it does have its health benefits. It’s wholesome, high on protein so can be eaten at night without worrying about “carbs.’’ Chco Slim can definitely can be had after a workout because it’s a complete meal with nuts and flavour alike.

III.Honey Lemon : Nothing like the other two cocoa enriched variants, this protein bar is a refreshing change. It changes the whole experience of ‘’protein bars’’ with this new flavour.

It can only be eaten by those who have a taste for such flavours. The lemon flavour is slightly overpowering. There is lingering taste of powder in your mouth.

Final Take:
•Max Protein NutriBars can be eaten for a change of flavour sometimes but cannot replace our natural foods like dry fruits, oatmeal, and wheat.
•The price is high but the quality of the product is well worth it.
•It is an ideal choice for health conscious groups who are looking at a healthy yet quick alternative.
•And ladies, eating Protein Bars when on a diet will still count as cheating, although it’s not as much as your other sweet options!
