Bohemian trend is catching up gradually in the fashion circle. Earlier you could only on the runways it was referred as street style but later on Bohemian trend got it’s full name and it seems like the fever is catching up gradually.

So, let us first understand what is bohemian inspired trend all about? It is mostly freestyle carefree look where the intention is to stay comfortable and full of life. They don’t follow any specific pattern or colour but it is more colourful and has happy vibes attached to it. Also, I would say bohemian trend is all about staying informal.

So, how can you have a bohemian inspired décor in your house? Well, it’s not a rocket science. If you observe even bohemian clothing closely then you will be able to figure out what all you need to have in your home. So, let’s have a look at the points given below which you must incorporate if you are aiming for a bohemian inspired home décor :

1.Colours

Try to use warm earthy colours. Also, you can try the metallic colour on your walls. Colours like brown, terra cotta or gold will work beautifully. You can also try some fun patterns on your walls. Also, if you are going for a bohemian inspired home décor then don’t be afraid to try some unconventional colour combinations. And yes colour combos is a must. Single colour on the walls is not the bohemian thing.

2. Lighting

Lighting is very important in a bohemian home décor. It involves both natural and artificial lighting. For natural lighting you can have large windows without much fancy window panes. Just keep them open and make it huge without any grills. In case of artificial lighting you can keep it low on budget but keep it everywhere mostly at the corners of your house.

3. Flooring

Bohemian home trend is mostly about patterns. Thus, either you can go for a patterned flooring style. But make sure that it goes well with the entire room and the ceiling. Keep it light in colour to ensure maximum space and lighting effect.

4. Kitchen

When it comes to the kitchen then it should have a relaxed and laid back approach. Benches are a must where you can sit and don’t go for too many boxes and shelves in your kitchen. Just keep them open.

5. Bedroom

Bedroom must have a huge cosy bed. You can either keep the bedsheet plain and simple in white or you can try some patterned bedsheet. Make sure if you keep it plain then you can use some bed rugs in patterns. Also, try to keep the bed organic or made from local material so that it ensures an earthy touch to the room.

6. Living room

Living room is where maximum action takes place. Thus, make sure that your living room is the attraction of your house. Keep your sofas huge but comfy. Try to keep it more artistic and earthy than artificial. Also, choose patterns as sofa and cushion covers for your living room.

7. Cushions

Biggest characteristic of a bohemian house is the cushions. They generally have loads of cushions thrown almost anywhere in the entire house. And make sure that the cushions are in the form of prints or patterns. You can also decorate them with fairy lights.

8. Planters

Having indoor plants today is quite common. But in case of bohemian inspired home trend indoor plants are observed almost in every size and shape in every corners of the house. And try to keep them in earthy post rather than the artificial aluminum ones.

9. Cool wall Art

You can also go for cool wall arts in your living room or may be any room you want. One of the easy peasy thing is to have some kickass quotes framed. You can also make your own hobby corner. For instance if you like paintings then just hang them in a corner. Or like if you are fond of playing instruments then make it your instrument corner.

10. Living room Accessories

Try to keep some lively accessories rather than showpieces. Accessories which speak about your personality. Try to carry a piece from wherever you travel. This will give a nice overall look to your living room.
