7 Beauty And Makeup Tricks To Look Better In Photos

Up until a few years ago, the pressure to be photogenic was not so intense. But with the advent of Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram, looking best in your photos has become more important than ever. It is time to be prepared for the Instagram era so that you can avoid hitting the untag button. To help you, we are sharing our top 10 makeup tips to help your looks better in your photos-

1. Plump Up Your Lips

With some subtle contouring, you can enhance the beauty of your lips. To do so, you need to trace the edges of your lips with a pencil. Make sure that the pencil is one shade darker than your lipstick. Move on to soften the edges a bit with your finger before you apply your lip color. Make a pout and fill the middle circle of your lips with a liner one shade lighter than the lipstick and blend it to blur the edges. You are good to go!

You can find your ideal lip color from Nykaa. Do not forget to check the reviews before making a purchase.

2. Powder your nose and forehead-

Does it happen to you that you look greasy in photos? It happens with a lot of people, even those who do not have oily skin. A glowy face can sometimes look greasy in pictures.  In order to avoid this, lightly dab translucent powder on your t-zone—the area of your forehead just over your brows and down the bridge of your nose.

3. Don’t Forget Eyelashes, Mascara & Eyeliner

If you have beautiful eyes, it is your responsibility to bring attention to them. Highlighting eyes can be the single best thing that you can do to enhance your looks in the pictures. You can wear kajal if you want to, but that’s completely up to you. But we suggest you don’t forget either eyelashes, mascara or eyeliner.

4. Don’t forget to apply Primer

You can’t hide blemishes and fine lines from the camera lens unless you have a good primer. Invest in a good primer as it fills in fine lines and fades imperfections that the camera lens can often magnify.

5. Bump Up the Contrast

Remember all those times, when you do club hopping and your images look all washed out and dull? If you are headed to a pub or a place where the light is going to be a little dim, you need to do a little flash test before you go out. Take a flash test before you step out. You can do so by turning off all the lights and taking a selfie with the flash on before you leave, so you can know how your makeup will look in photos. If it doesn’t look good, you can adjust accordingly.

6. Avoid SPF at night

This one seems to be the exact opposite of what people keep telling you. Even if there is SPF in your foundation, it will create a white cast in flash photography. Avoid it completely at night.

Suggested Products-

Huda Beauty FauxFilter Foundation

L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Foundation

7. Fill in your brows

Photography can lighten our features and it is our job to highlight them as best as we can. Brows are called the face framers and having a well-defined brow can make all the difference in your pictures.
