3 Toxic Thoughts You Need To Get Rid Of, For A Happier Life

Sometimes, its all in your head. Our mind plays all kind of tricks on us, it even gets us to think and believe things which are not in our best interests. More often than not, we over analyze the situations. It is natural to feel disappointed at the time. But when the negative thoughts take the best of you, it becomes your responsibility to get rid of them as soon as you can. Sometimes, the things which hold us back are of our own making. Here are the 5 toxic thoughts which you should just drop. Yes, just like that!

It’s Too Late To Start Over

Maybe you wanted to switch your career path in your 20s but couldn’t do. So what, if you are in your 30s or 40s! It is never too late. It was only in the 30s that Jezz Bezos started Amazon. J. K. Rowling was 32 when she managed to get her first Harry Potter book published. Even Stan Lee didn’t get his first comic book until he was 38 and Morgan Freeman landed his first major movie role at age 52. It is never late to start over. In fact, the best time to start over is when you feel like.

The World Is Trying To Put Me Down

As Monica from FRIENDS put it, ‘Welcome to the real life. It sucks and you are gonna love it’.
Guess what! It really does. Life is undoubtedly hard and you need to put up with that if you want to achieve something in life. I am not going to sugarcoat it. Sure, it is hurtful to see your less competent co-worker get a raise before you, or getting rejected from a job which you thought was sure thing. But it is not as it the life is trying to put ‘you’ down. You are not being targeted specifically. That’s how life is. It is unfair at times to everyone, nor just you. You would have your share of struggles but once you overcome them, it would be all worth it in the end.

I am wasting my time

How many times has this thought crossed your mind? Be it a job that is not getting your anywhere in your career, or a relationship that seems to have no future, we often spend time wondering whether or not we are getting any fruitful outcome from a particular situation, effort or person. It is so easy to think that you are wasting your time, but every experience you have is preparing you for things down the road that you always wanted. Every situation gives you enough learning to make it worth your while.
