10 Best Durga Puja Pandals In Delhi

The festive season has begun and we are heading towards the big 10 days festival – Navaratri. Many people call it as a Bong Festival but other cities also celebrate Navaratri with huge pomp and show. And in Delhi, the capital city this festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm.

You can see artisans coming from different corners of India to create some of the marvelous pandals. So, here we present you with a snapshot of some of the best pandals of Durga Puja the capital city hosts. Grab a cup of coffee and sit back as this is going to be a treat to your eyes –

1.CR Park Durga Puja Pandals – CR park aka Chittranjan Park also known as the Mini Bengal of Delhi has some spectacular Durga Puja pandals. CR Park has 37-year-old Puja samitis spread across 4 different blocks – B Block. K Block, Kali Mandir Society Puja and Mela Ground Puja.2-6

2.Matri Mandir, Safdarjung Enclave – The place which houses a quiet and serene Kali bari in the midst of Delhi. Matri Mandir situated in B 2 Block of Safdarjung Enclave is celebrating it’s Golden Jubilee year and thus the celebration is expected to be spectacular.3-5

3.Minto road, Rajiv Chowk – The traditional Durga Puja Pandal. The pandal is characterized by the rich blend of culture and tradition that a Bengali Puja has. The Pandal has a reputation of best pushpanjali and the very popular dhunuchi naach.4-6

4.Arambagh Durga Puja – This is one of the big ticket or bug budgets Puja of Delhi. In the year 2013, the pandal had a huge budget of 2 Crores and came up with such a pandal that whole Delhi rejoiced for 10 days in the pandals of Arambagh Durga Puja.5-5

5.Timarpur and Civil Lines Puja Samity – The Durga Puja pandal which celebrated it’s centenary year in the 2013 came up with a new side of Durga Puja. They come up with theme based pandal designs and artistic idols to present a different look every year. And the pandal also carries the tradition of immersing the idol on a bullock cart.6-2

6.Kashmere Gate Dura Puja – They do it in the traditional way with “Daaker Saaj”. The sophistication, class and elegance which this pandal hoards is unmatched in entire Delhi.7-3

7.New Delhi Kali Bari  – One of the most popular Hindu temples in Delhi dedicated to goddess Kali. This is a puja which is the most authentic and very close to Bengali culture.8-3

8.Mayur Vihar Phase I – One of the most extravagant Durga Puja pandal of Delhi. Along with the extravagant pandals, you can also treat your evening with a huge range of cultural functions. The pandal is one of the oldest in the city and attracts a huge crowd because of being situated in the heart of the city.9-2

9.Durgotsav , GK II  – The Pandal mostly visited by the high class of Delhi. And the major attraction is the diet friendly bhog made with organic ingredients and olive oil. Last year they were celebrating Tagore’s 150th Birthday and thus his poems, songs were all over the place.10-2

10.Shipra Suncity Sarbjanin Durga Puja Mandap – if you are nearby to Noida or Ghaziabad then this pandal is a must visit. One of the oldest pandal in that area and very famous for it’s creativity and huge idol.

    Pallavi the mayur vihar puja pandal is called Milani. This year is the 25th anniversary and the celebration is huge… You must come.
